Call Story: I grew up in the Lutheran Church and have always been a bit of a church geek. Despite my love of church and music, I always thought I’d be a doctor. College was a struggle, and after switching my major multiple times, I took a religion course and saw a small dim light. But it wasn’t until I attended a career fair hosted by my home church for our conference that I saw information about the seminary – and I was hooked. Finally felt a strong call to do something with my life. Took my parents a little longer to see it, but after I made the decision to go to seminary, finally heard the words of affirmation from my pastor, youth director and Sunday school teachers who all saw it but never said a word!
Ministry Style: I’m a team player and simply like to be in a position to see the gifts in people and then encourage them to live into that giftedness.
Gifts for Ministry: The areas that a thrive on in ministry are preaching and worship leadership, teaching all ages and helping people understand how to live life in God.
Hobbies: reading, playing the piano, sleeping in (which NEVER happens), hanging out with friends and almost anything I can do with my kids.
